Jariyan al Batnah is the only municipality that borders foreign territory namely that of Saudi Arabia. It is located in the south western part of Qatar and borders the Persian Gulf to the west and south east. The topography of the province of Jariyan al Batnah consists of mainly plain land. Coastal land can be found near the Persian Gulf. Tourists who are visiting Jariyan al Batnah can also enjoy fishing at the cities and towns located near the Gulf. Only a few major roads lead in and out of the municipality at present.

The region of Jariyan al Batnah currently doesn’t offer a lot in terms of action. With local agriculture, life away from the capital of Qatar is much more relaxed and laid back. While this area hasn’t been developed yet by property developers the possibility of a change regarding this might very well be possible in the near future.
